2024 Ford Ranger Review
Ford’s mid-size Ranger pickup truck will be redesigned for the 2024 model year. It adopts a bolder front-end styling inspired by the larger F-150. While Ford says it will offer the new Ranger with a V-6 turbodiesel in some markets, we expect the American version to be powered by the same turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine as the current truck with rear-wheel drive as standard.
What are 2024 Ford Ranger Review?
The Ford Ranger is currently only available in the US since 2019 but has been on sale worldwide for much longer than that. That means it’s time for a repeat, and Ford has a new Ranger planned for the 2024 model year. The redesigned Ranger is a global version, meaning not every aspect of the vehicle you see in the photo above will be brought to the US. The new Ranger was developed in Australia, hence all the right-hand drive interior photos. Details for the American-spec Ranger are still under wraps, but much of what you’ll see in the global version should make its way to our shores.
First, let’s talk about style. Ford says it conducted more than 5,000 interviews with customers to find out what they wanted in the new Ranger, and a tougher look was a top priority. The squarer front is complemented by a new grille and C-shaped DRLs similar to those on the Maverick and Ford F-150. The flat sides give the Ranger a more classic truck look, and the rear fenders stand out more.

What’s new in the Ford Ranger 2024 interior?
The interior of the 2024 Ranger is very different from the current truck, and that’s good news. The cabin is brand new, and the space looks functional and purposeful. HVAC controls are physical, making them easy to use while wearing gloves. The center console is clutter-free a Ford says it’s cubby under the broad armrests, as you’d expect in a pickup. We can also see multiple USB ports and a wireless charging pad. Overall, the interior space looks clean and functional, but we’ll wait until our new Ranger gives our final judgment.

Infotainment and Connectivity
A large 10.1-inch infotainment screen is standard across the Ranger lineup for 2023, and tech-focused buyers can upgrade to a larger, vertically-oriented 12.1-inch display. Ford’s latest Sync 4 interface runs on both. It provides access to various Ranger controls, including activating a new zone lighting feature that turns on a light outside a truck to illuminate a job site or provides a backlight to complete a camp set-up in the dark. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will likely come standard, and we expect additions such as in-dash navigation, B&O Play stereo system, and SiriusXM satellite radio to be offered as well.
